Baer resting
The Voidling
Baer's Origin
Baer The Voidling takes their place in the story. Baer simply appeared one day. No one can say when, or where, or why. Some say he came out of the shadows at night, and that is as much of an explanation as anyone has managed to offer. It is not, strictly speaking, an explanation at all.
He keeps no town and no village. He has been thinking, for some time now, of raising one of his own: Crystal Haven, he calls it in his plans, though plans are not yet walls.
In his free time he bakes. Cakes, cookies, whatever the season and his stores allow. When he is not baking he trains, working at the kind of close, hard fighting that leaves bruises and teaches things no book can. In his basement he runs tests with potions, recording what each one does, or fails to do, in whatever notes he keeps.
Those who have met him call him kind, and brave, and not afraid of work. The same people will add, if pressed, that he can be hard and mean when the mood takes him. Whether those two things sit comfortably together in one person is not a question they have tried to answer. Most people contain more than one answer, and Baer is no different.
Baer's Life So Far
No biography yet. The Chronicler writes one once this name has enough behind it to be worth condensing.
