Karl Enderian Crown Prince of Porphyra takes their place in the story. Thrown unwillingly into this world in an attempt to save him from death, he's now forgotten everything. The first thing he did was shift his form into something more gratifying, an instinct from his previous life. He was Karl now. Before, he held himself the son of King Andrium, a dragon of levin, and the Crown Prince of Porphyra. Now he leads the land of Evolet, perhaps trying to retain that royal status engraved in his brain from the beginning.
Evolet, which flew no banner at all mere weeks past, has grown again: the Hamlet yields to the Village, and a ground that began as little more than a claim now carries the full weight of a settled people.
Evolet has grown into Village standing in the eyes of the realm.
