jhorn's Origin
jhorn child of the void takes their place in the story. jhorn remembers nothing before the moment he woke on the outskirts of the small outpost of Westeria. No road, no childhood, no name given by a parent. Only the sense, which he cannot explain and does not try to, that the place felt somehow familiar before he had any reason to know it. The people of Westeria took him in. He helped them as he could, and the help was enough that they stopped asking too many questions about where he had come from. He holds, in the way a man holds a dream he cannot quite see in daylight, that something spoke to him before he woke: a voice in some unmeasured dark, asking whether he wished to walk among the living. He cannot say whether the voice was real, or whether it was only the mind filling an emptiness it could not stand to leave empty. What knowledge he carries, of things past and things he believes are yet to come, he cannot account for. He does not claim to explain it. The voice that may or may not have given him life has not spoken again, and jhorn is still waiting to understand why it asked at all.
