The Saga of Westeria
Westeria began as bare ground and a footprint, raised from Outpost to Homestead within hours of its founding, a pace that gave the Chronicle pause then and has not slowed since. Within days it climbed through Hamlet and Village to Town, each rank earned before the last had settled into habit.
Four gathered souls witnessed the raising of the banner, and in those first hours the land's shape became clear: a place built for people, and for color, and for wealth.
Violet Ceddar, called Creator and Lady of Westeria, is the one most hold responsible for what the land has become. She woke, as many do, with the mist still on her, carrying a name she is not certain is hers and a book of memories she cannot recall. What drove her to found a nation rather than simply survive, no record says. She has felt called to it, by her own account, though called by what she cannot name. A Decree of Coronation was written and read before witnesses, and Violet Ceddar, known also as cheddarsoup8, was crowned Queen. The Chronicle marks her reign from that day.
Rowan Timely was named Official Historian of Westeria at the coronation, and declared his hope to serve the civilization well. Whether he has found the answers his office demands, the record does not yet say.
Among those who have joined her: Alex, a Westerian who was saved by the village as a child and has not forgotten the debt. Sniper, a fighter who grew up in war and learned survival before much else. ArcadeMonke, called the Arcadian, who founded and ruled the Ironveil Empire in an earlier life, bested a neighboring nation, then set down the crown and came to Westeria to contribute to its cause.
On the twelfth of September, many of Westeria's members passed through a portal into the realm folk call the End, those shattered islands of black and purple that reminded the Westerians, so the telling goes, of the same fog that had taken their memories from them. Queen Violet summoned her bravest to its gates. Those who wandered deep came back with more questions than answers, and a great beast to face. The dragon fell. The Chronicle's broader account marks the day under the heading "The Dragon Falls, the Seam Closes," and leaves the questions unanswered, as the Westerians themselves left them.
By that same season, Westeria had passed one million in coin, its farms, shops and structures spreading across ground that months before had been nothing at all. A seasonal festival was planned, a circus tent already rising. New members have continued to arrive. The land's unresolved thread is the one Violet Ceddar carried from the beginning: a name uncertain, a book unread, and the question of what, exactly, was lost.
