The Saga of Lysanthir

Lysanthir began as every nation does: a single claim on open ground, its banner raised before four gathered souls. Within days it climbed from Homestead to Hamlet to Village, and the Chronicle took notice early. It has since grown further still, recognized across the realm as a Town, and Hecalyth was crowned at each threshold in turn.

The land sits within a place its people call the Red Forest. At its heart the Sacred Cathedral of Lysanthir rises by plan and by labor, its foundations laid before its first stone was cut.

Hecalyth, who carries the name The Divine Sovereign, rules Lysanthir. She is its Reverend, its architect of intent, and by her own word she has already outlived every certainty save one: whatever awaits beyond death has, she says, already learned her name. No record explains what she means by that.

The forest had been quiet for some days before Hecalyth followed a faint trail of footprints and broken branches into the crimson trees and found a woman there, travel-worn and visibly exhausted, carrying journals. Hecalyth extended a hand, not as an order but as an offer of rest, and waited without demanding a name or an explanation. What passed between them after that is not fully set down. The record notes only that a stranger arrived, and that Hecalyth waited for her to decide whether she would keep walking or finally stop.

Aveline, called The Crimson Remnant, came to Lysanthir carrying the marks of a former life spent among mines and redstone dust. She has spent her days in the hard labor the cathedral demands, and she has since taken up a second charge: a project she calls the Crimson Forge. She traveled west, far from any other settlement, to find its site, and found there small channels running through the ground beneath old roots, traces of perfectly aligned stone, built for a purpose that seemed to concern water. She took distances, slopes and directions in her notebook. The plans she later presented to Hecalyth were accepted. The facility, by her own record, measures some fifty by one hundred fifty-five by fifty blocks, divided into a Core and four Containment Towers. The exact function of the Forge is marked classified in her papers, and what the Containment Towers are designed to process or dispose of is obscured in her notes by what reads as a copying error. Hecalyth locked the relevant papers in her desk. A third drawing in her study was folded away with the note: not yet.

Ezra, called The Lost, arrived wounded from the forest with no memory of what came before. He has taken the path offered to him and rested.

A fourth figure appeared more strangely: an angel, its white wings dirty and several feathers torn free, its body marked by wounds, found collapsed and terrified. Hecalyth waited, spoke calmly, and then said a name, Kay, that the creature had not given. The silence that followed was absolute. No record yet says how she knew it.

A historian named Rowan returned to Lysanthir at least once, approached Hecalyth with something changed in his manner, brought her somewhere, then asked her to leave. There was agitation in his voice that had not been there when they entered. Hecalyth did not press him. What he had seen, and what left its mark on him, is not set down.

Lysanthir's Recent Lore

  • The realm's book speaks of Lysanthir: 5 of its moments were woven into the day's account, "Eyes in the Deep, Voices in the Stone".

  • Entry 17.5 22/22 VII. FINAL OBSERVATION The combination of U#GVWR()#, VR%@ #()#UJB, FRR@!()J systems, catalysts, enormous numbers of #()W!W!HV, and an infrastructure designed to contain the result far exceeds the requirements of a conventional facility. For security reasons, this document must not be distributed outside of authorized personnel. — End of report —

  • Entry 17.5 21/22 2. The Bridge The Bridge will serve as the physical connection between the Hat and Vhalmar. Its primary function will be to provide safe access to the Forge. However, this will not be its only purpose. The Bridge will simultaneously function as a conduit designed to transport #()#UJB directly to Vhalmar, powering the islands and any structures that may eventually be built on them. Therefore, the Bridge should be considered both a means of access and an extension of the Forge’s #()#UJB system.

  • Entry 17.5 20/22 The final route has not yet been determined. For the time being, this matter is not a priority. The structural strength of the Chain, however, must be considered critical. If the structure fails, the consequences would not be limited to the local area.

  • Entry 17.5 19/22 1. The Chain The Chain’s primary function will be to support the entire Forge. The design calls for connecting one end to the enormous mountain in the Blue Badlands, crossing the Forge, and finally anchoring the opposite end to one of the region’s floating islands.

  • Entry 17.5 18/22 VI. AUXILIARY STRUCTURES In addition to the Core and the Retaining Towers, two additional structures will be necessary: *The Chain. *The Bridge.

  • Entry 17.5 17/22 Large-scale material collection has begun, while the Grand Reverend has started using her contacts to arrange for the import of resources from other towns and territories. The current priority is to ensure that construction does not come to a halt due to a lack of materials. The project cannot afford a prolonged interruption.

  • Entry 17.5 16/22 V. RESOURCES There is currently no complete inventory of the materials needed to complete the Forge. The estimated quantities are so large that conducting a conventional count is impractical. Resource acquisition is already underway.

  • Entry 17.5 15/22 Each segment also requires R()H (RP€!H, whose role will be to act as a catalyst for the process carried out by the assigned YL@@DJ#UV . The corresponding distribution will be: *4 (RP€!HV per floor. *28 (RP€!HV per tower. *112 (RP€!HV throughout the Forge.

  • Entry 17.5 14/22 IV. CONTAINMENT VWD!! Each segment requires WKUHH YL@@DJ#UV to operate. The planned distribution is: *12 YL@@DJ#UV per floor. *84 YL@@DJ#UV per tower. *336 YL@@DJ#UV throughout the Forge.
